Safe Operations of Mechanical Post Drivers

Mechanical Post Drivers are now very common within the fencing industry and have made the work of fencers much easier and quicker

However, they can be very dangerous, and several people have been seriously injured over the last few years.

FaCT have worked with industry and Lantra to develop a nationally recognised course for the safe operation of mechanical post drivers, including

Tracked machines.
Tractor-mounted machines.
Lory mounted machines.
Excavator-mounted machines.

Course details

Who is the Course For?

This course is for anyone who either currently operates post drivers, or plan to use them

Course duration

The course is between 3 1/2 and 4 1/2 hours depending on number of candidates

Where

We mainly deliver the course at clients venues on their machines, but we can deliver it at FaCTs training centre

Cost

From £650 for the day plus £85 per person (plus VAT) delivered at your venue

Certification

Candidates who successfully complete the course and pass the assessment will gain a Lantra Awards,”skills card” and certificate.

Types of Post Driver Covered

FaCT deliver training on all types of post driver and knocker, including, Tracked, Tractor Mounted, Lorry Mounted, Excavator or Skid Steer Mounted. We regularly train on Protect, Brice, Solotrack, WAG and or manufacturers machines.

Safe operational methods – Transporting, manoeuvring and driving post
