Chop & Mitre Saws

Within FaCT’s “Safe use of Power Tools” course range, Mitre and Chop saws are key units many need to complete.

The HSE has identified power saws as the cause of most accidents in the woodworking industry.

Safe use of woodworking machinery ACOP, linked to PUWER, identifies that the main causes of these accidents could have been prevented by

“providing appropriate training” and ensuring effective guarding was in place.

This optional unit to our core safe use of power tools course addresses these issues
