Red FISS/CSCS Trainee Card

The Red FISS/CSCS Trainee Card is the first card for those entering the fencing industry and starting on a training route to become a skilled installer, supervisor or manager.

This is the card for those registered for a fencing qualification at levels 2, 3, or 5. This card will allow them to work as an installer, supervisor or manager while they are learning and gaining their qualification, before they gain the Blue, Gold or Black card.

This card is recognised by the construction and highways sector and will enable you to work on site.

 

How to Gain a Red FISS/CSCS Trainee Card

To gain a Red FISS/CSCS card, you must

The Red Trainee Card is valid for 2 years while the holder is completing the qualification they are registered for.

The card cannot be renewed, but will be upgraded in line with the qualification they have achieved.

If they have not achieved the qualification, then the only option is to go back to a Green Labourer Card

 

Next Steps

The first thing is to decide on what role to want to be trained for, Installer, Supervisor or Manager and are you able to work within that role.
